It is important that the goals are adapted to reflect what is plausible and attainable in each country around the world, and Uzbekistan has set concrete and realistic national MDG targets and time-bound indicators that apply to the national context.

‘Targeting Millennium Development Goals’ is a reference book for high school and university students. It aims to provide detailed information regarding Millennium Development Goals, using interactive question and answer games. Like many other countries, Uzbekistan has developed a national program designed to help the nation achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

Uzbekistan Millennium Development Goals Report, 2006

This is the first National Millennium Development Goals Report for Uzbekistan, prepared jointly by the Government of Uzbekistan and the United Nations Country Team. The aim of the report is to reflect on the current trends and prospects for Uzbekistan’s development, and to facilitate the monitoring of progress made towards the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) at the country level.
